Getting started
Preserve is built around four daily habits:
- Protein — log meals by search, barcode, photo, or a quick description. Protein is the hero number; calories and other macros come along for the ride.
- Strength — log training sessions against a weekly target you choose.
- Medication — keep a record of your doses and how you’re feeling, all in one place.
- Progress — log your weight and watch the trend line, not the daily noise.
The Today tab pulls it all together and suggests the next most useful thing to do.
Frequently asked questions
How does photo and describe meal analysis work?
Snap a photo of your meal (or describe it in a sentence) and Preserve estimates the foods and their nutrition using AI. You can review and adjust each item before saving. Estimates are approximations — for packaged foods, the barcode scanner is the most precise option.
How is my protein target set?
Your target is calculated during onboarding from your body weight and goals, and you can change it any time in Settings → Your Plan.
What does the weight trend line show?
Preserve smooths your daily weigh-ins into a trend line so a salty dinner or a long flight doesn’t read as a setback. The trend reflects where your weight is actually heading; the gray dots are the raw daily readings.
What does the medication tab do?
It’s a tracker — a private log of the doses you’ve taken, your schedule, and any side effects you choose to record. Preserve never tells you what or when to take anything. Check your medication instructions or provider if you’re unsure about your plan.
Does Preserve work offline?
Yes. Everything you log is saved on your device first and syncs automatically when you’re back online.
How do I manage my subscription?
Subscriptions are billed through your App Store account. To change or cancel, open your device’s subscription settings (iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions). To restore a purchase on a new device, use Restore Purchases on the paywall screen.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and all logged data from our servers. It cannot be undone.
